PopJoy

My project is called "PopJoy Project", in which I will create a giant balloon installation display spelling “JOY” in the Tualatin valley community.  

​LIKE MANY, KAMERON SUFFERS FROM DEPRESSION, AND KNOWS THE IMPORTANCE THAT  JOY AND LAUGHTER BRINGS. FOR KAMERON, ESPECIALLY DURING THE PANDEMIC, THE BEST WAY TO SPREAD JOY IS WITH BALLOONS. EACH UNEXPECTED DISPLAY OF COLOR AND LIFE CAUSES RIPPLES OF SMILES TO RADIATE OUT INTO OUR BEAUTIFUL YET SCARY WORLD.

It will be Roughly 8 Feet high and 16 Feet long with ~2000 Multi colored BALLOONS

This will be a photo opportunity
with a hashtag
#PopJoyProject
to track pictures taken with the sculpture

I'll post a sign with QR code/Website to my Popjoy blog.
 I want to have audience interaction/participation somehow
Answer questions like:
what gives you joy?
How do you Spread joy?
How do you create joy?




This idea is infinitely duplicatable in other areas/parks/organizations and also Customizable for Social Justice causes BLM, Asians, LGBTQ+, Environmental, etc.


This can also be used as a Fundraising opportunity

-prizes donated /raffle
